Meet Betsey
Founder & Chief Technician
Betsey Bowers (formerly Betsey Angus) worked for the now late L. Terry Chappell, MD, in Bluffton, Ohio, for over 30 years. She was trained in 2002 as a thermography technician, by Phillips Hoekstra, III, PhD.the director of Therma-Scan Laboratory, Inc, who interprets the scans.
She started her mobile thermography business in May of 2020 to continue to provide for her past patients. With a mobile business, she will be going into different offices to do scans. This will provide more convenience to the past patients and be available for additional patients.
Meet Gracie
Assistant Technician
Gracie Fox is an assistant technician who approached Betsey in 2022 as a shadow interested in working for Bet A Therm. She has been assisting Betsey with pre-charting information and sending out reports. In 2025 she was trained to scan patients and was accepted by ThermaScan (the interpreter) to be a thermography technician. In 2026 she started going out on her own to scan, allowing the business to grow. She is very personable and does her best to make ladies comfortable during their scans.
